DN-019-Quantum Conundrum

I’ve always wondered about the origins of the word disease. When you break it down, it’s simply dis ease, which means not at ease. The definition could mean a myriad of different things. Anything that brings you discomfort could be considered a dis ease. And when you think about the main objective of living beings being homeostasis, anything that ventures off from the projection of homeostasis could then be considered a disease.

As I woke that morning, my stomach felt like it had flipped entirely upside down. It could maybe be considered a dis ease but there was no technical disease present other than my anxiety about what was to come.

Figuring it wasn’t going to get any better until I figured out what I was dealing with, I packed my stuff up before the sun rose and set off to the libraries to research, to know and understand, and to bring my mind at ease about what is involved with teleportation.

The morbid and catastrophic potential is there with this mission is real. In my mind, anything from fatal glitches in reconfiguration to the simple butterfly effect on what’s meant to be in the universe were possibilities that I was walking into. So what is it? What’s involved? How will it work? It all lies in the answers of quantum physics. It was a topic that I had to grasp, so it was probably overdue to learn.

As I walked into the conservatories next to the library, the day broke to shine its beams of light effortlessly on each leaf, creating a dramatic contrast that could only be made by the depths of divine nature. At this moment, I felt an overwhelming feeling of calm. I don’t know whether it is biological or psychological, but there is always something reassuring about a sunrise. If everything that happens in life wasn’t meant to be for some higher reason, then wouldn’t the sunrise and the rotation and revolution of planets be a little less… I don’t know.. a little less consistent or stable? Something about the reliability of the sunrise reminds me that there’s a greater reason for everything and that everything is connected in a way that we can’t understand.

I took out a few books on quantum physics to gain a better understanding of the things I could. The great thing about the libraries is that they are what you would consider open source. Whenever we make any advancement or have a new finding, the person responsible for the finding is also responsible for documenting it and archiving it in its respective repositories in the library. That way anyone who needs to access the information in the future has access. With respect to the original source, of course.

I’m here a lot since my notes and botanical illustrations go into documentation. Whenever I do, I like to read through the notes on things I normally wouldn’t have any interaction with. I find the documentation in the libraries to be fascinating. Not only do they tell the story of the finding, but they also tell what brought them to that conclusion and what the circumstances were that helped them make the discovery.

Flipping through the pages of notes on this subject, I realize there is no way I could grasp every detail of the nuance behind teleportation in a day, but that’s ok. As long as I can get a general overall idea of what I will be putting my body through and the safety of it… That should be ok…Right?

From what I’m gathering MarsGate (our main gate for teleportation here) is like a big scanner that essentially complies all the data about you as an individual. Instead of your physical body traveling through space, it utilizes the powerful concept of quantum entanglement theory to measure the entangled data that can be compiled and exists in another world instead of Mars. Since the measurement is in the other world, it no longer exists in the previous. I believe this is possible because it’s the point of measurement that defines its existence since the instances are related and connected.

I think that’s right. This raises questions like how can my consciousness exist in two different beings, and which one is real? Is this like cloning? What happens if the data gets corrupted?

I’ve read stories of others existing as their other in this universe, and they are quite terrifying. They can take everything you have, and no one would question it—everything you hold true.

I find that hard to believe, though. When I met my other, she didn’t seem like she could do that. I don’t think I could do that. Maybe it depends on the makeup of the person.
